Allow Free Gift Options

Hi Momo! I have a few questions about the feature you've requested. When you say a "checklist", do you mean that members can select more than one free item to receive when they sign up? When you say "that we'll ship to them manually", do you mean you don't want the app to add an order to Shopify? If so, would you want the free gift choices to be an email sent to you, or shown as a line item property on the membership line item so that you can create the order?

Char Genevier: Hi Char! To answer your questions:
- Checklist: Yes, based on our current membership program structure, they should be able to select up to three gift items.
- Shipping manually: It would be ideal to have the app add the order to Shopify, but based on my past exchange with your support team, it sounds like this would be a more complicated ask. We are asking about the possibility of having the checklist to capture info about new members' preferred gift choices, which we can then process externally outside of our Shopify store. (This is to avoid the alternate option that is currently supported by Conjured's capabilities: having new members make two separate checkout transactions in our store; the first to sign up and pay for membership, and a second to collect their 1–3 gift items by using a "100% off" discount code.)
- Forwarding members' gift choices: sending this information as an email or line item is fine! Either would work for us.

Momo Ishiguro: Got it! You can actually already do this using line item properties - the gift selections would show up as a line item property on the membership product, and then your team could create the new order using those selections. You can use this "line item property generator" (https://ui-elements-generator.myshopify.com/pages/line-item-property) to create your line item property fields as checkboxes, and then add the code to the product form in your theme. I'm happy to help you if you need it, but this is by far the quickest/easiest way to do it since you're okay with adding those orders manually!
